| FAQ - Using UltraPlayer Playing CDs I selected UltraPlayer as my "Default player for audio CDs", but when I insert an audio CD, nothing happens. How can I fix this? Most likely, your operating system is currently set to NOT launch ANY applications when a CD is inserted. To undo this setting in Windows 95/98: - Press the START button on your taskbar and select "Settings", then "Control Panel".
- Double-click on the "System" icon.
- Go to the "Device Manager" tab.
- Double-click on the "CD-ROM" tab.
- Select your CD-ROM and press the PROPERTIES button.
- Go to the "Settings" tab.
- In a section labeled "Options", you should see a box labeled "Auto insert notification".
- Check this box and press OK. Then press OK on the Device Manager box.
- Reboot your computer.
- Open UltraPlayer and press the OPTIONS button, then press SETTINGS.
- On the "File Types" tab, make sure that "Default player for audio CDs" is checked.
- Close UltraPlayer and insert an audio CD.
- UltraPlayer will open and start playing your CD.
